| Peter (Wednesday, 10 March 2010 ) See also this article, seems it has been going on for a while. Roos victims of factory fluoride DEBORAH GOUGH, February 21, 2010 SCORES of starving and pain-ridden kangaroos have been culled after developing tooth and bone deformities from breathing and ingesting fluoride emissions. Many more are believed to be suffering from growths that will kill them. The affected kangaroos are living near the Alcoa aluminium smelter in Portland, in the state`s south-west, and the Austral Bricks factory at Craigieburn. Autopsies performed at Melbourne University on 49 kangaroos culled at Alcoa on a single day last year found all but one were suffering from flurosis, which leads to excessive bone growths, or lesions, on joints in the paws, ankles and calves. | Ged (Wednesday, 10 March 2010 ) Thanks Peter, that article seems to cover alot more ground. | |
| Bob Garman (Thursday, 15 April 2010 ) ALCO were told to clean up their act after their aluminum waste became air born – it was crippling to animals surrounding the plants, many livestock died. New regulations watered down their habits, and they did just that, watered it down. No one knew they would sell it back to us and make us drink it. For a toxin that cost money to discard, they now make a profit by selling it. Jokes on us. | |
| goodoo (Wednesday, 7 July 2010 ) Dude, this is in aus, portland victoria. | |
