Fluoridation turns on at Rockhampton today. Regional Councillor, Glenda Mather is leading the protest against fluoridation this morning outside City Hall. Glenda says, “This quiet but solemn protest is to mourn the violation of our human rights and liberties in the state of Queensland, and the death of democracy”. In addition, Graham Demeny has resigned after 15 years of being responsible in making Rocky's drinking water safe. Adding fluoride is not safe and would require him to change his ethical and moral values. We are so grateful to have people like Glenda and Graeme, their actions are something we can all aspire to. Please feel free to show your support by posting a comment. |

| Mal Anderson (Wednesday, 23 December 2009 ) This is from a commentary on the Europe-wide ban on water fluoridation. Exposure of infants to fluoridated water for even a few months at critical stages of development can result in permanent damage to both primary and secondary dentition, as well as long-lasting and severe psychological harm and distress to many. It may also lead to other chronic, and sometimes fatal conditions, including the bone disease, osteosarcoma. Prevention of such damage in the future can only be achieved by an immediate withdrawal of the product from public distribution. Safe for babies? - ha ha! | |
